UN ECOSOC
"The United Nations once
dealt only with governments.
But now we know that peace and
prosperity cannot be achieved without
partnerships involving governments,
international organizations, the business
community, and civil society.
In today's world, we depend on each other."
Kofi Annan,
UN Secretary General (1997-2006)
In April 2018, in accordance with the decision of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the international non-governmental organization “Center for Political Analysis and Information Security” was granted special consultative status with ECOSOC for a period of 4 years.
“Your status authorize you to appoint official agents to UN Headquarters in New York and its offices in Geneva and Vienna. Your representatives will be able to participate in the United Nations events and conferences, including the General Assembly. Consultative status will allow you to interact actively with ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, as well as with the Secretariat, programs, funds and agencies of the United Nations in several ways”, noted Marc-André Dorel, Acting Chief of the NGO Branch in UN DESA, in his letter.
In a reply the Director of the Center for Political Analysis and Information Security, Svyatoslav Andrianov, stated the following, “The granting of special consultative status to the Center with ECOSOC is a significant event for us – recognition of our efforts from one of the UN Main Organs. This is a great honor for our organization - from now on, we will be able to interact directly with the UN agencies, make our modest contribution in maintaining international peace and security, and assist in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.”
